This is a collection of all of the information I have collected from throwing various poker tournaments over the years. My home poker tournaments usually include from 10-15 of my friends, but I have coordinated tournaments with up to 40 people. All of the information contained in these pages can easily scale from 2 people to as many people as you have chips for!

Blinds

The blinds in a tournament are important for several reasons. First, they provide guaranteed money in the pot, so someone will win something every hand. Second, they set the minimum allowed amount of a raise to keep the action flowing, which guarantees the game will end as the blinds are raised.

As mentioned above, the blinds set the minimum amount that a person can raise. When you want to raise, the minimum amount allowed is the amount of the big blind.
